Held by a ring

ORBAVIE is swimwear built around one piece of hardware: a round, gold-tone ring. It holds a halter at the neck, gathers a bandeau at the centre, joins a strap to a cup and a string to a hip. Look at any piece in the range and you will find the ring doing a job.

Why a ring

A ring is the simplest join there is. Fabric loops through it, turns and is stitched back on itself, so the ring takes the pull instead of a seam. It also does something a seam cannot: it catches the light. On a beach full of plain swimsuits, the ring is the detail people remember.

We use the same ring everywhere, in three sizes: 20 mm for straps, ties and side joins; 28 mm for centre fronts, hips and halters; 36 mm for bandeaus, one-pieces and the sarong tie. All three are round in profile and finished in gold-tone plating over zinc alloy.

Two halves, two sizes

Bodies are rarely the same size top and bottom. That is why every bikini top and every bikini bottom at ORBAVIE is its own product with its own size. Pick an S top with an M bottom, or a Coral top with a Lagoon bottom — the mix studio is built for exactly that.

The twelve tops and twelve bottoms come in twelve lines. Each line shares a name and a colour, so a Halo top and a Halo bottom make a matching set. But the rings are the same across all of them, so any top works with any bottom.

Six colours, three surfaces

Coral, Cocoa, Sea Salt, Noir, Saffron and Lagoon — warm colours that sit well together and with gold. Each piece comes in a smooth matte, a fine rib or a crinkle surface that dries in soft ripples. Cover-ups, sarongs and pouches use the same colours and the same rings, so they belong to the set rather than sitting next to it.

What we will and will not tell you

We describe what you can see and measure: the cut, the ring size and position, the colour and surface, the sizes. We do not make claims about sun protection, chlorine resistance or shaping, and we do not print fibre percentages from memory — the exact composition is on the sewn-in care label, and we are happy to email it to you before you order.
